Set-up in 2003, the Service Improvement (SI) Team works with clinical teams to introduce innovations and quality improvements that make a difference to patients. Practical application of SI knowledge has meant the team has been able to test, implement, sustain and spread innovations across the whole network.
Our work with NHS Improvement (cancer) has meant that key pieces of work such as our 'Breast 23hr' model are spread nationally. Equally, we have tested and implemented improvements from elsewhere - again, across the network.
The team has a track record of success in introducing initiatives that meet all aspects of QIPP (see our QIPP Event, Nov 2010). -
