Cervical Screening 14 day turnaround sustained
Early in 2009 work began across the Pan Birmingham Cancer Network to work towards achieving the target of 14 calendar days for women to receive the results of their cervical screening tests. With 3 labs, 4 Primary Care Trusts and over 300 GP surgeries and Family Planning Clinics, work had to begin early in order to significantly reduce the waiting times from what was then around 6-8 weeks.
Monitoring through 2011 has shown this improvement has been sustained.
