Guidelines and pathways
Guidelines for the care of patients with cancer including; clinical guidelines, referral guidelines and care pathways for treatment, supportive care and palliative care within the Pan Birmingham Cancer Network.
Guidelines are developed and approved by staff working in cancer services within Birmingham, Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall and parts of South Staffs. We have brought them together in one place for ease of access for all who may need to access them.
In development the authors are mindful of the need to reflect many other bodies of work and guidance including those endorsed by NICE, the Royal Colleges and other professional bodies. These are brought together along with local expert opinion and aim to reflect how expert opinion, research evidence and policy documents will influence and dictate best possible care locally.
We aim to update all guidelines and related documents every 3 years, however, they can be amended earlier if required.
