Network groups
The primary role of the Network clinical groups is to provide the Network Board and commissioners with expert advice relating to that specific disease or service area and to provide assurance around the quality and safety of cancer services being delivered locally.
The groups are chaired and led by clinicians and membership encompasses a wide range of individuals, including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and patient representatives.
The groups are responsible for developing and agreeing consistent pathways of care, disseminating clinical best practice, undertaking audit and identifying service improvement initiatives.
The Network groups report directly to the Cancer Network Board.
